Medical receptionist at Mildura Cardiology

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

Liaising closely with patients, greeting them with a friendly smile, attending to their needs

You will see yourself completing the following tasks on a day-to-day basis:

Providing customer service to patients attending appointments

Making appointments and Medicare billing

Supporting patients via phone and email

Scheduling/managing patient referrals and bookings

Preparing patient records for consultations

Completing day-to-day accounts and end of day duties

Answering the phone

Sending test results and patient information to referring doctors and hospitals

Working closely with other team members, nurses and doctors

Must be willing to rotate job roll with other members of team and follow instructions from supervisor

Working with Zedmed practice management software and several other medical data management systems

Requirements

You must be an Australian resident and currently be living in Australia

Prior medical receptionist/secretary experience (min 2 years preferable)

Have excellent computer skills and be able to use multiple software applications consecutively

Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional, courteous phone manner

Must have experience in Medicare billing

Team player to assist in the daily operations of the front desk

Remuneration

Negotiable depending on experience
