Focus Areas:
Provide assessment and counselling services to adults, children/adolescents, or across the lifespan
Interested in or have experience working with complex trauma and neurodevelopmental presentations
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice
Deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health conditions.
Work with clients from diverse referral sources (e.g. NDIS, private, third-party)
Create individual treatment plans using recovery-oriented, best-practice approaches.
Manage a complex caseload with increasing clinical independence.
Deliver individual and group therapeutic services.
Communication / Teamwork
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (GPs, psychiatrists, NDIS teams, schools, other allied health professionals).
Prepare reports and maintain clinical documentation to professional standards.
Attend supervision, team meetings, and performance development activities.
Work Unit Management
Participate in peer supervision and mentoring.
Contribute to quality improvement and outcome evaluations.
Uphold WHS, EEO, and anti-discrimination policies.
Marketing Activities
Assist with non-clinical promotional tasks (e.g. blogs, social media content)
Additional Duties
Complete tasks as requested by the Director.
Requirements:
Essential
Masters/Doctorate in Psychology or completed 4+2 or 5+1 internship.
Full AHPRA registration as a psychologist.
Eligible for a Medicare provider number.
Membership (or eligibility) with APS or AAPi.
Working with Children Check and Police Check.
Professional indemnity insurance.
Australian working rights.
Provisional psychologists approaching the completion of their qualifications are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in complex trauma, a mature and self-reflective approach to interpersonal dynamics, and hold professional indemnity insurance.
Desirable
Experience with psychometric tools and report writing.
Familiarity with NDIS and private practice settings.
Skills in trauma-specific interventions (e.g. EMDR, IFS, somatic work).
Experience with neurodevelopmental presentations.
