Our name means "Life" in Spanish, reflecting our mission to empower people to lead meaningful lives and this is at the heart of everything we do.
Our team is led by our inspirational Director, Carmen, who is hands-on and incredibly passionate about supporting both her team and clients to thrive. What sets us apart is our genuine focus on client outcomes and practitioner wellbeing and this is reflected in our above-average client retention rates and history of long term practitioners. We are incredibly proud of the supportive, collaborative environment we have created and we are looking for our next amazing psychologist to join our close-knit team.
About This Role
As a Registered Psychologist at Vida, you get to focus on what you do best – providing exceptional therapeutic care to clients. This role is perfect for you if you want to concentrate on your clinical work and developing your clinical learning and development, without the administrative burden of running your own practice/business.
Your responsibilities include:
Providing face-to-face psychological diagnosis and evidence-based therapy for a diverse range of client presentations.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to your client needs
Work in a collaborative way in our supportive team environment which includes participating in peer supervision, supporting each other and spending time together as a team
Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and follow our practice processes to ensure we meet and exceed professional standards
You’ll benefit from high-quality supervision and clinical support from our Director Carmen and from the whole team. So if you are looking for a welcoming team who will take the time to properly train you in their systems, processes and take an active role in supporting and guiding your professional development - then keep reading - this may be the perfect next role for you.
About You
You are a passionate, Registered Psychologist who has at least 2-3+ years of experience working with a broad range of client presentations (ability to assess is beneficial but not required)
You are focused on developing a clinical niche and love to learn and develop yourself, your knowledge and your career.
You have a strong ability to build rapport quickly and develop therapeutic relationships and you are committed to evidence-based practice to achieve meaningful client outcomes.
You are willing to work 1-2 evenings per week and/or some Saturdays, to support your clients to see you outside of hours.
And finally, you have a strong level of self-awareness and commitment to personal self-care.
This role has the ability to be flexible around your other commitments, which may be family, study or something else! If you are dedicated to helping your clients and you desire to be part of a supportive practice, we’d love to hear from you.
What We Offer
You'll enjoy a highly supportive workplace with a team who are genuinely in your corner and care about your career and wellbeing. You’ll also get:
Regular professional development (6-weekly) and peer supervision (monthly)
Freedom from administrative burdens – there’s no client acquisition or marketing requirements as our practice will take care of that, so you can focus on your clients
Real input into the types of clients you work with and a well-balanced caseload to prevent burnout
Above market rates for your expertise
Join Our Team - We’d like to hear from you!
If you're tired of working in isolation or managing the business side of private practice, we are offering the perfect balance – professional autonomy with genuine team support!
How to Apply
If this sounds like an opportunity you’d like to explore, we’d love to hear from you for a confidential conversation. Please send your CV along with answers to the following questions in your cover letter.
Tell us about your qualifications, client experience and special areas of interest, if any.
What attracts you to working in a supportive team environment rather than a more solo practice?
What are you looking for in your next role? How can we support your career goals?
This is a part-time position. What are your availability preferences (including your evening/weekend appointment availability?) and how does this fit into your life and other commitments?
Anything else you'd like us to know about you?
Thank you so much for taking the time to apply. All applications will be acknowledged and successful applicants will be contacted for a next stage interview.
