About the Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Mechanical Fitter for regular ongoing work in our Geraldton workshop. These are full time permanent positions.

Geraldton is a coastal city in the Midwest region of Western Australia. With a beautiful Mediterranean climate and a stunning coastline, it makes for the perfect work/life balance.

Duties

Ensure achievement of maintenance goals to maximize plant and equipment availability

Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools

Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments

Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together

Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

Operate powered machines that may be manually, or computer controlled

Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria (what's required):

Trade certification (Cert III in Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Fitting and Machining or relevant experience)

Minimum 4 years' experience

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work well in a team in remote areas

Strong commitment towards safety and quality

Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude

Company and customer focused based

Supply a current manual driver's license

Forklift and EWP are desirable however not essential

Ability to pass a medical and D&A screen

Salary

Guaranteed annual earnings: AUD70,000 to AUD100,000 plus superannuation per annum.

Relocation assistance will be available to the successful candidate.
