About the Role

  • Provide timely, accurate and high standard administrative support to the Pharmacy Department to facilitate effective service delivery within the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Satellite Health Services.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly and confidently with patients, members of the public and departmental staff over the phone, via email and in person and assist staff and clients in the work unit as requested.
  • Proficiently complete functions associated with patient appointment activities, including the arrival of patients, booking appointments, management of cancellation/rescheduling of clinics, management of clinic waiting lists and coordinating appointments with other services.
  • Perform billing, receipting, preparation of cash/cheque/EFTPOS for banking summary and reporting functions as appropriate, including bulk billing of patients according to treatment, item numbers and the Medicare schedule of benefits.
