Position Summary:

Sustech Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our Perth team. This essential role requires a combination of advanced engineering expertise and substantial industry experience. The successful applicant will satisfy the ANZSCO 233111 criteria and contribute significantly to the achievement of our ongoing projects and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design chemical process systems and plan control systems for chemical separation, fuel testing, heat transfer, and material handling

· Monitor equipment performance to ensure safe, efficient operation

· Ensure use of correct materials and compliance with specifications

· Diagnose plant malfunctions and implement solutions

· Investigate product use and environmental impact issues

· Review new product plans and recommend suitable materials

· Lead lab operations to develop new materials and fabrication methods

· Collaborate with material producers to assess application suitability

· Analyse product failures and conduct tests to determine and resolve root causes

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia

· Demonstrated experience in chemical processing and design

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills

· Proficient in Hindi and Marathi to facilitate communication with Indian stakeholders

· Established professional network and contacts within India;

· Experience in sales application would be beneficial;

· Cultural awareness and experience in cross-cultural environments

· Knowledge of international standards and practices
