We're recruiting Lead Actuaries for a high-profile initiative focused on financial sustainability, forecasting, and strategic modelling. These roles are ideal for experienced actuaries who want to apply their insurance-based expertise in a leadership capacity and influence long-term outcomes at scale.

🔹 12-month contract + 12-month extension option
🔹 EL2-equivalent with 10-15+ years' experience
🔹 Hybrid working: 3+ office days | Sydney or Melbourne

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage teams of actuaries and contractors

Apply insurance and actuarial methodologies to cost modelling, forecasting, and scheme valuation

Deliver robust scenario modelling and policy impact analysis

Present high-level advice and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and the Board

Oversee reporting, performance monitoring, and data integrity

Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

What We're Looking For

✔️ Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, or Statistics
✔️ Associate-level actuarial qualification (or near Fellowship)
✔️ 10-15+ years' experience in complex actuarial environments
✔️ Proven experience in insurance, valuation, forecasting, or scheme design
✔️ Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and mentoring talent
✔️ Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to executive and board-level audiences
✔️ Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
