We are currently seeking a Community Clinical Midwife for an upcoming 12-month parental leave cover based in Moora. We are also creating a Talent Pool of qualified candidates for future midwifery vacancies in both Moora and Merredin within the unique Wheatbelt Region.
The Moora position services Moora and a mix of inland and coastal communities (Jurien Bay, Lancelin, Gingin and Bindoon), while the Merredin position covers Merredin and surrounding towns within the Eastern Wheatbelt.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency and Casual.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 28/02/2026.
About the OPPORTUNITY
The Clinical Midwife is responsible for providing a high level of Primary Health Care to achieve the optimum state of health for individuals, families and communities with emphasis in the area of antenatal and postnatal care.
To be successful in this role, you will have…
- A commitment in the application of Primary Health Care Principles and a Community Development approach to practice.
- An ability to work with Aboriginal people and cross – cultural groups
- An ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multi sectoral and interagency team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current C Class driver's licence and a willingness to travel via road and/or small aircraft with overnight stays as required

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months.
