YOUR NEW POSITION
We are seeking the services of a Mechanical Draftsperson to join our service team based out of our Lisarow Reliability Service Centre.
In this role you will be working with our service department. The role will be heavily involved with drafting components for service work and for current design projects.
The role requires the following experience
- An experienced Mechanical Draftsperson familiar with the following programs:
- Pollyworks experience
- SolidWorks experience
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Project etc
The following skills and attributes will be highly regarded:
- Good communication skills including a high proficiency in the English language both verbal and written.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Tradesperson
- Minimum of 2 years working in a similar role.
- Have the ability to work cooperatively in a small team.
- A willingness to undertake additional training to increase personal development.
- Experience with rotating equipment
- Experience using a coordinate measuring machine (HEXAGON)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Cert IV or higher in engineering drafting
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Current industry knowledge and technical skills
- Proficient in the use of critical software applications – Solidworks, Pollyworks
- Expertise in data and problem analysis, creative problem solving and design thinking
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suit applications
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes
- Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement
- Accept direction and feedback
- Possesses a keen eye for detail and quality
- Be a team player but able to work independently
- Demonstrate an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good time management skills.
- Be a self-starter.
