My client is a global leader in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects within the energy sector. As part of a landmark initiative to accelerate Australia’s energy transition, I have been exclusively retained to recruit a Major Project Director to oversee the construction and delivery of multiple high-voltage transmission projects ranging from 330kV to 500kV.

This is one of the most significant greenfield energy infrastructure projects in the country. We're seeking a seasoned executive to lead the end-to-end delivery and drive performance across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership & Execution: Lead multidisciplinary project teams across multiple transmission workstreams—from civil works through to commissioning—ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
• Stakeholder & Contractor Management: Manage collaboration with internal teams, EPC contractors, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, utilities, and local communities.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure full adherence to HSE standards, environmental regulations, and quality assurance protocols across all project sites.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and resolve delivery challenges, mitigating risks relating to cost, time, and technical performance.
• Commercial & Resource Oversight: Drive cost control, manage budgets and procurement, and oversee optimal deployment of project resources.

You will be joining a newly established leadership team with a mandate to deliver a transformational project that will shape the future of Australia’s energy grid. Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a Project Director or Executive leading large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, ideally within the transmission or high-voltage sector.
• Experience on both client-side and contractor-side is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen.
• Ability to navigate complex delivery environments and drive execution under tight timeframes.
