About the Role
As the Engagement Officer - Events, you will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-impact events that connect with pre-service teachers, graduates, and trainees. From career expos to metro and regional tours, you'll be at the forefront of creating meaningful experiences that support workforce attraction and engagement.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure events are aligned with strategic goals, are safe and compliant, and deliver measurable outcomes. This is a dynamic role that requires creativity, data-driven thinking, and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end event management across local, interstate, and international platforms.
Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and feedback.
Coordinate and deliver regional and metro engagement tours.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
Identify new engagement opportunities and implement innovative strategies.
Ensure all events meet safety and compliance standards.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in event management, ideally in a public sector context.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to think strategically and manage risk effectively.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to service excellence.
Essential Requirements
Current Working with Children Check.
Completion of Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care training.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel.
Availability to work outside standard hours as required.
Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in event management, marketing, communications and/or related discipline or equivalent experience.

Remuneration:
ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
