About the Role
Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, on a permanent part time basis, you will provide one on one, in home support to a person with disability living in Gladesville.
You will be required to provide active, overnight support from 11pm to 5am which will include manual handling for repositioning, personal care and bowel care.
Successful candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week, have access to their own vehicle, demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and have previous experience supporting people with disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (including complex bowel care)
- Assist with hoist transfers
- Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
- Domestic assistance (support with household chores)
- Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
- Documenting and progress note keeping
Skills & Experience
- Experience providing High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)
- Experience working within a home care setting
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Confidence and experience in manual handling and personal care
- Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Willing to complete basic household chores
- Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
