This is a great opportunity for a heavy diesel fitter to join a highly skilled team of trades at a new workshop in Rutherford.

• Fantastic workshop rates with penalties and uplifts depending on the work.
• Monday - Friday roster (6:00am - 3:30pm) with plenty of OT available during the week and over the weekend.
• Working on a range of heavy earth moving machinery - excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers, trucks and loaders.
• Long term opportunity on a temp to perm contract. Move over to the contractor's books after a short stint on Marbles.
• Occasional site-based work on a variety of projects in the Newcastle / Sydney area.

Roster and hours

You will work a Monday - Friday roster working 6:00am - 3:30pm each day. There will also be overtime available on occasion over the weekend and before/after weekday shifts.

The role

As a highly skilled diesel fitter, you'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, machinery rebuilds, and component rebuilds on a range of heavy earth moving machinery. Most of your work will be done from the well-equipped workshop, with occasional site-based work done when needed.

• Mechanical fault finding and repair
• Machinery and component rebuilds
• Working on a range of equipment. Most notable CAT and Komatsu machinery
• Field service work across multiple projects in the greater Sydney / Newcastle area
• Temp to perm position after a short stint on Marbles books

Your value

You will be a highly skilled trade qualified diesel fitter with well-rounded knowledge on heavy earth moving mobile plant.

• Mechanical trade qualification
• Excellent hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
• An excellent attitude towards work with proven ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
• Experience on machinery rebuilds (highly advantageous)
• Proven knowledge on Cat and Komatsu machinery
