Relocation Support
Moving from interstate, overseas, or returning to South Australia? You may be eligible to receive up to $13,000 as part of the SA Health’s Regional Incentive Program. This will cover the cost of travel, short-term accommodation, relocation costs and other expenses.

Regional Incentive Payment
SAAS offers a Regional Incentive Payment for Paramedics based in country locations. In your first year, you could receive an additional allowance between $1,257 and $2,793, depending on your location. This payment increases each year you remain in a regional role.
Government Employee Housing
Eligible SAAS staff can apply to access the Government Employee Housing program for housing located 100km outside of the Adelaide CBD.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for Experienced Paramedic positions within SAAS, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Be a permanent resident or Citizen of Australia or New Zealand or hold full rights to work in Australia (no visa sponsorship will be provided by SAAS)
- Must be registered with AHPRA in the Paramedicine profession
- Have successfully completed a Paramedic Internship or equivalent work history
- Have experience as a practicing Paramedic relevant to the role
- Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance (Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups) and South Australian Working with Children Check
- Hold a current unrestricted Driver’s Licence valid in South Australia (license must meet SA driving requirements - i.e., class C)
As part of the selection process, applicants must meet the required Pre-Employment Medical and Functional Assessment activities and assessments, and immunisation requirements ensuring compliance with SA Health Care Worker Immunisation and Screening Requirements.
