About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Training Materials Developer to support the creation and ongoing enhancement of training content within a Defence logistics information systems environment. This role is perfect for someone with a background in instructional design or multimedia development who enjoys translating complex technical content into effective, engaging training solutions.
You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and multimedia teams to maintain and improve training materials in alignment with Defence standards and methodologies. Your work will play a key role in driving capability, compliance, and continuous learning across Defence training programs.
Key Responsibilities
Update and maintain training materials to ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and formatting standards
Analyse and scope training change requests, assessing impact and providing recommendations
Develop training content that complies with approved specifications, including verification and validation processes
Design new training materials using tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate, or Canva
Prepare training content for upload to Defence eLearning platforms such as LXP and ADELE
Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and multimedia developers
Ensure compliance with SADL methodology and Defence-approved training frameworks
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification in Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia Development, or a related field (Desirable)
Familiarity with SADL, DLM, and Defence learning systems (Desirable)
Experience developing training content in Defence or technical environments
Proficiency in eLearning tools such as Articulate, Captivate, or similar
Understanding of instructional design principles and performance needs analysis
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
AGSVA Baseline security clearance (or higher) required
