ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a hands-on Operations Supervisor role overseeing a portfolio of industrial and logistics assets across Melbourne’s western suburbs. From cold storage to manufacturing and warehousing, you’ll be responsible for driving compliance, managing contractor performance, and supporting the day-to-day operations of 31 well-run sites. With most of the work done remotely, you’ll only need to be on-site for planned inspections or when issues arise, supported by a tight-knit and experienced team.
DUTIES
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building standards across the portfolio
- Coordinate essential services contractors and oversee certifications and documentation
- Conduct quarterly site inspections and manage maintenance from a risk and compliance lens
- Support budgeting, capital works planning, and operational reporting
- Maintain asset and risk registers, and contribute to sustainability initiatives
- Manage contractor relationships and performance, including regular site meetings
- Oversee small-scale fit-out and make-good works as the landlord representative
- Ensure documentation, inductions, and systems are maintained to the highest standard
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3–4+ years’ experience in facilities or property operations - logistics/industrial assets highly advantageous
- Understanding of WHS, Australian Standards, and essential services compliance
- Confident managing contractors and multiple priorities within tight timeframes
- Customer-focused, with great communication and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Tech savvy, comfortable using MS Office, property systems, and vendor platforms
- Driver’s licence required (GoGet available for planned site visits)
ADDITIONAL INFO
- Full-time hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible)
- Dates: starting 30th June - 29th August, with potential to go perm after
- Location: Melbourne CBD office – 5 days in office with WFH flexibility if converted permanently
