Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resources Administration Officer to support our HR and Payroll functions. If you have strong admin skills, enjoy working with people, and want to contribute to a vibrant regional workforce, this role could be for you.
As our HR Administration Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries and provide vital day-to-day support across all HR functions—including recruitment, compliance, payroll assistance, and employee records. You’ll also assist with organising travel, coordinating onboarding, and maintaining systems and data integrity.
What We’re Looking For
Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or at least 3 years of experience in a similar administrative role.
Strong administrative and organisational abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy work environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, customer-focused approach and a team-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated initiative, discretion, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and cross-cultural environment.
Salary & Benefits
Base Salary: $77,161.48 to 84,827.41 per annum (depending on experience)
Leave Entitlements: 6 weeks annual leave + 10 days personal/sick leave
