About the role

Mater Private Hospital South Brisbane,10 North (Surgical) has an exciting permanent part-time opportunity available for a Registered Nurse at 32 hours per week.

The Surgical Unit specialises in Colorectal, Breast and Endocrine, Upper G. I., Thoracic and General Surgeries, providing a high level of specialised care to patients, their families and visitors, via a supportive team who takes pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.

The team is supportive, approachable, patient-focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.

Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:

• Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision,
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth,
• Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,
• Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients.

About you

To be successful in your application, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse,
• Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care,
• Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes,
• Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice,
• Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team,
• Understanding of the Mater mission and values and the ability to engage others in living these values in 10 North.
