HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced allied health professionals for the role of APS6 level Technical Advisory Officer within a prominent Federal Government Agency based in Midland, Perth WA.
You will provide high-level clinical, operational, and policy advice on complex and novel cases to support the delivery of disability-related supports and services. This position plays a pivotal role in mentoring, guiding decision-making, and ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes for individuals with diverse support needs.
Your key duties will include:
- Delivering expert clinical and technical advice in line with legislation, rules and guidelines.
- Providing subject matter expertise using a coaching and mentoring approach.
- Managing sensitive and complex conversations regarding participant support needs and funding approvals.
- Supporting strategic planning, project and policy development aligned with Agency goals.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best-practice and consistency in decision making.
- Creating clear and professional documentation and records to support advice given.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Essential qualifications in one or more of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Pathology
- Physiotherapy
- Psychology
- Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Registered Nursing (AHPRA eligible)
- Social Work
- Mental Health or Behavioural Support Practice
- Medico Legal Allied Health
Additional desirable attributes:
- Experience in disability, hospital or aged care settings.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring capabilities.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven clinical experience and sound professional judgement.
