About the role

This is a full-time Carpenter/Site Supervisor role based in Slacks Creek, QLD with HEW Projects Pty Ltd, a leading construction company in the region. As the Carpenter/Site Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing all construction activities on-site and ensuring the successful delivery of projects to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Carpentry works for all our jobs

Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the construction team, including labourers and subcontractors

Providing technical guidance and support to the construction team to ensure all work is completed to specifications and on time

Monitoring and inspecting work in progress to identify and resolve any issues or defects

Ensuring all construction activities adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations and company policies

Collaborating with customers, office and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and resolve any challenges

Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to the construction project

Leading by example and promoting a positive, safety-focused work culture on-site

What we're looking for

Recognised trade qualification as a Carpenter with 5+ years of experience in a similar site supervision role

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment and safety procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges on-site

Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and project team members

Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
