Join a high-performing test and environment practice within one of Australia's leading insurers.

Your team
Large Test & Environment Practice team that encompasses testing for Agency Partners and Software Vendors. The team is responsible for the testing of processes and systems to support Agency Partners manage their insurance portfolios across the Quote, Policy and Claims functions.

Your role
Support the Release and Implementation Manager with environments planning, coordination and execution of environment tasks.
Your duties and responsibilities

  • Design, build, and configure end-to-end non-production environments, encompassing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure aligning to the project team requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and maintain test environments, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with project teams' requirements and timelines.
  • Run the environment team sprint planning and scrum sessions effectively.
  • Implement and enforce test environment policies, processes, and standards, including controls to identify and mitigate internal issues and risks.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure environments are correctly configured and available for testing and deployment.
  • Coordinate environment provisioning, configuration and test data in close collaboration with scrum and/or project teams, and other internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate and review the status of third-party vendor integrations that support testing activities and create forums for managing any non-production environment risks.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and documentation repository for test environment configurations, setups, etc.
  • Develop and maintain any tools to help automate or speed up test environment refreshes, setups, etc.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to test environments and testing.

Knowledge acquired awareness and/or expertise (Mandatory – 4-9 years minimum)

  • General insurance industry experience, including business processes.
  • Experience in Program Test Environments role.
  • Experience in managing workflow through Azure DevOps board (mandatory).
  • Experience with Cloud DevOps and CI/CD pipeline tools including Octopus and GITHUB (mandatory).
  • Experience in Agile teams – running scrums and daily standups.
  • Able to estimate and schedule environment tasks.
  • Able to manage and maintain multiple test environments to ensure they are stable, reliable, and appropriately configured.
  • Able to develop and implement processes for environment refreshes, backups, etc.
  • Able to document current test environments, procedures, test URLs, test logins/passwords.
  • Experience with maintaining documentation for test environment management processes, including test data, test URLs, test logins/passwords and deployment procedures.
  • Experience with conducting audits and reviews of test environments to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous availability.
  • Identify testing risks, mitigations, and dependencies or impacts.

Desirable

  • ISTQB CTEL-TM or another similar certificate.
  • Able to estimate, budget, and schedule testing-related tasks and resources for large projects.
  • Guidewire and/or DuckCreek systems experience.
  • Experience in end-to-end testing.

12-Month Contract (with extensions highly likely)
$1100/day incl. super
2 Days in Office (North Sydney)
