About the Role
A position has become available at our Mayfield West based branch for an exceptional individual with a proven high customer service to join the team as Counter Salesman. As a counter salesman you will be involved in over-the-counter sales and working with our trade customers. This role will include face to face customer service, quoting and delivering exception customer service. You will also deal in aspects of warehousing, deliveries, pick / pack / receipt of stock and operate a forklift. This is a role that requires a strong attention to detail and a person who can work efficiently and effectively. You will be reporting to the Branch Manager whilst working alongside a highly talented team.
What We Need
As a Counter Salesman you will have an 'on the ball' attitude with the ability to work under pressure and be a strong team player with high energy. We require a person who is trustworthy and reliable with an impeccable attention to detail, a 'can do' approach and someone who is not afraid to use their initiative. You will be able to demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills with a work ethic that is second to none.
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar warehouse role, hold current manual Driver & Forklift licences. Computer knowledge and experience is advantageous. An understanding of the plumbing and/or building industry will be highly regarded. The ability to uphold Workplace Health and Safety Standards and Procedures is needed.
