About the role

DRS Manufacturing is seeking a person to assist our team via increased leanings across a range of functions. Powder coating, metal preparation, press machinery, spray painting and more in Caboolture, QLD.

This is a full-time position within our dynamic Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics organization. As a team member, you will be responsible to learn across a vast range of functions that are in house.

Preparing surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, de greasing, and per-treating components

Operating powder coating equipment to apply coatings to metal parts and products

Monitoring the powder coating process to maintain consistent quality and finish

Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the powder coating process

Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to support efficient operations

Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Ability to learn new functions, skills and put into your working role

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Powder Coater or similar role within the manufacturing industry

Strong technical skills and understanding of powder coating equipment and techniques would be an advantage

Ability to read and interpret product specifications and work orders

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to learn and increase your problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across the business

Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the role

Ability to work as part of a team and follow established procedures and safety protocols is a must

A general good work ethic, can work as part of a team to ensure both the company and the customer is supplied in an efficient manner.

Full drivers license

Forklift license would be an advantage
