Sunshine Powder Coatings is a family owned and operated business based on the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking a Sandblaster and General Labourer. This job will be immediate start and potential full time employment for the right candidates.

Duties and responsibilities:

Sandblasting will include but not limited to - Sandblasting, heavy lifting, communicating with managers, record keeping and documentation, maintaining equipment and supplies

General labouring will include but not limited to – Prepping metal, hanging, packing, forklift driving, hoist crane operation, dealing with regular customers etc

Be able to work under pressure

Be able to work with others to achieve deadlines

This position has the ability to grow into opportunities with on job training

We offer training on corrosion control strategies, and the latest surface coating technology

Skills and experience needed:

Worked in a coating environment preferred but not essential

Forklift License (preferred)

Ability to start immediately

MUST be reliable

MUST have current work references

Monday – Friday, 6am-2pm or 9am - 5pm

Overtime available

Follow workplace health and safety

Must have own reliable transport to get to and from work

Ability to multi-task, self motivation, willingness to learn other fields of our factory and a proactive attitude
