We are looking for an experienced Mine Project Engineer to assist a Tier 1 Clients in the Bowen Basin Coal Fields. The roles are 5:2 or 9 Day fortnight, 10 hour day roles, as either residential roles out of Moranbah, DIDO out of surrounding region, or FIFO Brisbane.

The Roles

The roles involve supporting active mining operation around Moranbah.

Working with an established Project team, you will assist with defining, optimising, planning and delivering projects through the entire project lifecycle from initiation through commissioning and handover.

The roles features a stable contract of ongoing work.

About the Roles

Reporting to the Project Superintendent on site, the role on offer involves the below:

Provide engineering expertise and coordinate technical inputs across the project lifecycle, from scoping to implementation, including change management and support during construction to ensure alignment with design intent.

Assist in defining project requirements, standards, and specifications, and support planning, scoping, and delivery in collaboration with project leads.

Manage external technical consultants to ensure high-quality, timely, and compliant project outcomes.

Develop, implement, and monitor quality management plans, commissioning strategies, and operational readiness processes to support safe and effective handover.

Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and opportunities, implementing strategies to mitigate risk or realise value.

Monitor project performance, contribute to reporting and continuous improvement, and act as the key liaison between the Project Team, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.

To be considered you must meet the following criteria:

Degree in Engineering or relevant field.

Current unencumbered Australian Drivers Licence.

Located in Moranbah or surrounding region for DIDO, or Brisbane for FIFO.

Minimum 5 years relevant mining experience in a project engineering environment, with exposure to project management.

Have exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.

Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
