Angsana Early Learning Centre is a family-owned early learning centre with a passion for multilingual learning. We have created a purpose-built and designed centre for children aged 0-6 years old. A place of love, laughter and learning. Our multilingual approach will give children the opportunity to take advantage of the optimal time in their lives to learn languages other than English – like Mandarin and Spanish. We believe our children need to be equipped with the skills to communicate effectively so that they can be independent, creative and purposeful thinkers and learners. Our holistic program is developed around a play-and-learn pedagogy in a nurturing environment that will encourage your child to explore, develop resilience and experience the world at large.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and caring Preschool Room Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our preschool room, guide a team of educators, and ensure a warm, stimulating environment for children. The right person will be a confident leader who is passionate about early childhood education, supports inclusive practices, and builds strong relationships with children, families, and staff.

Qualifications & experience

Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care with at least 3 years experience

ECT for Preschool room (preferred)

High level of proficiency in English, both in written and verbal communication

First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma/CPR and Child protection qualifications

Prior experience in leading a room and writing educational programs (preferably 2 years experience)

Demonstrated understanding of Child Safe Practices and commitment to prioritising these at all times within the learning environment.

Able to create a collaborative environment with team members and provide mentoring if needed.

Tasks & responsibilities

To be responsible for the overall operation of the room including children, parents, education program, management of team and all aspects of administration and maintenance to ensure a suitable, viable room is provided to suit the needs of families and children.

Assist in the development and support of other staff members by communicating effectively, sharing knowledge and experience, and delegating tasks appropriately.

Maintaining a high standard and consistency of hygiene, and cleanliness in your room

Maintaining organisation in the room to create a calming and orderly atmosphere for the children

Passionate about education and be able to instil a love of learning in children

To provide leadership whilst working as a member of a cooperative team to implement Angsana's educational program and to support the language teachers to implement the language lessons into the daily teaching and curriculum.

Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader to develop and implement Angsana's educational program, ensuring it meets and exceeds EYLF standards through innovative approaches to children's learning.
