The opportunity
Mirrimpilyi Muurpanara Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a part time (0.5 FTE) Permanency Support Program (PSP) Case Manager to join their team in Menindee, NSW. As a PSP Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children, young people and families in the local community.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate safe, stable and suitable placements for children and young people with respect for the Permanent Placement Principles which meet the day-to-day care and support needs
Ensure children, young people, foster carers and families receive integrated and coordinated quality support through effective case management
Provide Case Planning which address the social, emotional, educational, educational, cultural and health domains of children and young people ensure needs are supported and addressed
Collaborate with other community services and agencies to deliver coordinated care
Maintain accurate client records and prepare reports as required
Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback and participation in team meetings
Represent the organisation professionally and positively in the local community
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, counselling or a related field
Demonstrated experience in case management, preferably within a community services or child/family welfare setting
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Commitment to strengths-based and trauma-informed practice
Understanding of the unique cultural needs and challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the local region

The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check and Working With Children Check. This is a core requirement of this role
