To support the exciting growth of our Allied Health and Clinical Services team, we have an opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist to work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting the delivery of holistic, evidence-based exercise physiology services to our Sunshine Coast community aged care customers.
The role is available as a permanent part-time or full-time position (Monday to Friday), based in Maroochydore. There is flexibility with fortnightly hours, and we invite you to outline your preference in your cover letter.
More about the role
Reporting to the Team Leader – Allied Health Care, you will:
Assess, design, and implement tailored exercise programs to support functional improvement and long-term health outcomes for clients with diverse health conditions.
Facilitate individual and group exercise programs for older adults, including hydrotherapy-based sessions.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure client-centred care, while also providing education, referrals, and support to clients, carers, and their networks.
Contribute to the supervision and development of students, support workers, and allied health assistants, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and service evaluations to ensure best practice and continuous enhancement of service delivery.
Represent Exercise Physiology services in internal committees, maintain community partnerships, and uphold compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
What you will bring to our team
Relevant degree qualification in Exercise Physiology
Current registration with ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia)
Practical experience delivering Exercise Physiology services in community settings, including assessments, individual and group-based programs, and chronic condition management.
Flexible and proactive approach to adapting to changing priorities and tasks.
Comfortable using both established and emerging technologies in daily practice.
Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Valid Driver’s Licence, and access to a fully insured vehicle for work-related travel
Current First Aid and CPR certification
