We are looking for a committed, experienced physiologist to join our team on a part-time basis between 16-24 hours a week. This role has potential to become full-time for the right applicant. Hours are flexible.

We have worked hard to develop our team to include various services such as Women's Health, Cancer Rehabilitation, Lymphoedema management, exercise studio, mobile services, and we have a new, state of the art, hydrotherapy facility (magnesium, 34 degrees!) with modern equipment: underwater bike, trampolines, and workout stations.

THE ROLE

This is a part-time position for an exercise physiologist. New grads are welcome to apply.

Varied experience - You will be fundamental to the operation of our hydrotherapy pool but your role will be varied encompassing classes, home visits, exercise studio work, and patients from diverse communities and with diverse conditions

You will see a varied caseload with a strong emphasis on exercise prescription for chronic health conditions, including post-surgical, general MSK rehab, ABI, Diabetes and Obesity, NDIS, aged care and work hardening programs

Your hours and employment terms will be negotiated if you are successful in your application.

You will be encouraged to personalise and expand your service offering according to your skills and areas of interest.

You will have time and funding set aside for PD and participate in structured multi-disciplinary training.

Along with your desire to heal and your commitment to taking a multi-disciplinary and integrated approach to make a difference to the wellbeing of our patients, you possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

Current ESSA Registration

We would prefer someone with experience but we are flexible for a new grad if you are the right fit for our team.

Willing to work in an aquatic environment for one 3-4 hour shift per day depending on requirements. Our therapists get in the pool - we don't sit on the side and you do get a fluffy dressing gown for between times! Our pool is warm - 34 degrees, and magnesium - no harsh chlorine.

Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team

Effective time management

Current First Aid Certificate with CPR

Current, relevant professional insurance, blue card, yellow card
