We're hiring a People and Culture Advisor to support a fast-paced retail group with 2,000 employees across Australia and New Zealand. You'll manage ER cases and HR projects, with a clear path to grow into a Senior Advisor role.

This leading multi-brand retail group has over 250 stores across Australia and New Zealand and employs circa. 2,000 people. With a new and modern head office based near Haymarket and a dynamic, fashion-led culture, the business is investing heavily in its people function to support ongoing transformation and growth. Upcoming investment includes a new payroll system, ATS, new LMS, refreshed career site, and an internal communications uplift. You'll be joining a trusted, flexible environment where the culture is collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced.
Description
Reporting into the HR Business Partner and dotted line into the Head of People & Culture, this is a hands-on, broad generalist role supporting retail employees up to senior management across ANZ. You'll be the go-to for HR queries, case management, and policy support, with a clear development path into a Senior P&C Advisor role. Key responsibilities include:
Managing 1-3 ER cases per week, including performance and conduct matters
Contributing to policy development, performance management, and onboarding
Playing an active role in HR project delivery - including new systems, internal comms, EVP, and more
Acting as a cultural ambassador, ensuring high standards across compliance, coaching, and communication
- Coach, support and guide managers on HR policy and procedures
Profile
We're open to candidates with 18 months+ HR experience, ideally within retail, hospitality, or fast-paced environments. The team is lean, so hands-on capability and proactiveness are key. This role suits someone who wants to grow into a senior advisor role and is looking for a genuine development opportunity. Experience in ER case management is highly desirable. Exposure to the General Retail Industry Award is a plus. A genuine interest in fashion and brands helps!
