About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Supervisor to join our dynamic team at LJ Building Services' in Hollywell, QLD. As a full-time Building Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality work.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards

Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and communicate progress

Monitor and inspect work in progress to identify and address any issues or concerns

Manage the allocation of resources, including materials, equipment, and labour, to maximise efficiency

Provide guidance and support to construction workers, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project, including timesheets, invoices, and quality control reports

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness

What we're looking for

Significant experience (3+ years) as a Building Supervisor on luxury homes or in a similar construction management role

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and find practical solutions

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Proficient in the use of construction management software and technologies

Proven track record of delivering construction projects on time and within budget

Qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field would be highly desirable
