Team Leader - Corporate and Financial Planning

Hays is working with a State Government organisation to find an ongoing Team Leader for their Corporate Planning

Your new role
This role requires a very specific skill set with both a strong understanding of the Victorian State Government operating environment and strong commercial acumen and working experience. The purpose of this role is to provide leadership in the Financial Planning team and the operations through preparation of the financial plan, financial insights to senior leaders and across the business to make informed decisions and achieve strategic financial outcomes for the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong State Government and/or Utilities experience at a similar level
• Strong understanding of regulatory pricing frameworks and both corporate and financial planning is essential.
• Well-developed people leadership to support the 4 direct reports for this role

• Experience in dealing with guidelines, Acts and regulations regarding Government Business Enterprises, or regulated utility businesses, particularly in the water sector.
• Experience with economic, commercial, and financial principles in pricing, costing and NPV analysis.
• Detailed knowledge of best practice modelling techniques, business valuation (e.g. DCF) techniques and the capital asset pricing model.
• Advanced level Excel skills are essential and experience with Oracle ERP & BI, PBCS, GL WAND and SmartView highly regarded.
• The ability to work between Footscray and Sunbury as needed.
