About the role

Great opportunity for a experienced Mechanical Fitter/Machinist required for manufacture and repair of a broad range of pumps, including fabricating and assembly of new pumpsets, packages and projects to stimulate the aspiring personalities. With a strong commitment and eye for continuous improvement, you will work with mechanical machinery such as conventional lathe, grinders, welders, pumps and pneumatic drives. Physical work. Occasional site work/travel maybe required.

Skills and experience

Experience working as a qualified Mechanical Fitter/Machinist preferably in the pump industry, but is not essential.

Must have welding/fabrication experience and be able to operate a lathe/mill.

Must also have a drivers & forklift license.

Electrical disconnect/connect license would be an advantage, but not necessary.

Excellent communication skills.

A flexible, adaptive and agile mindset with proven ability to work autonomously.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Safe work practices / OH&S knowledge are essential.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and pay attention to detail.
