Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the development engineering team to achieve council’s strategic and operational goals
Provide expert engineering advice and approvals for civil infrastructure and development applications
Oversee subdivision design, construction, and inspection processes
Drive cross-functional collaboration and represent council in negotiations with developers and utilities
Manage complex projects and contracts with a focus on safety, compliance, and risk
Contribute to group-level initiatives, special projects and strategic planning
Mentor, coach and develop team members for performance and growth
Deliver high-quality reports, submissions, and briefings to senior stakeholders
About you
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with extensive industry experience
Proven leadership experience in a complex, multidisciplinary environment
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Deep understanding of civil design, risk, and financial management
What we offer you
Base salary between $119,986.67 and $139,773.92 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12.5% superannuation
Permanent/full-time
