About the Opportunity
As the Coordinator, Corporate Planning, you'll play a key role in shaping how Council delivers on its strategic goals, working within the Strategy, Planning and Engagement team. You'll coordinate corporate planning, performance monitoring, and reporting activities, ensuring alignment with our Strategic Management Framework and strengthening transparency and accountability to our community.

This role combines analytical rigour with strategic thinking. You'll turn community insights and organisational data into actionable plans, lead cross-functional planning at the strategic, service and team levels, and oversee key deliverables including the Annual Business Plan, quarterly corporate reporting and the City of Adelaide Annual Report. You'll also drive the development and implementation of a robust corporate planning and reporting framework.

Beyond planning, you'll collaborate across Council to embed best practice in performance measurement, risk-informed planning, policy governance and integrated reporting. You'll support capability development through workshops and training and guide the organisation in applying political, social, and environmental insights to planning and performance. This is an influential role, ideal for a strategic thinker passionate about public value and continuous improvement.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Substantial corporate planning, performance reporting, policy and project management experience in a government environment.
  • Proven ability to use research and analytical skills to understand strategic and corporate planning and reporting information to identify trends and to interpret and convey relevant information and insights.
  • Experience in analysing data to inform strategy, service, program and project delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of the political, environmental, social, technological, economic and legislative environment in South Australia.
  • Experience and capability to design, develop, implement and maintain systems that support strategic, service and corporate planning and reporting, performance measurement and work program activities.
