The Role
Join our Maintenance Team as a Carpenter and be responsible for the general maintenance, repair, construction and renovation of buildings, fixtures, fittings, and associated structures across the island. This is a hands-on, full-time role with plenty of variety, where your trade expertise directly supports our world-class guest experience.

Your day-to-day will include:

Performing general maintenance and repair work on buildings and fittings

Carrying out construction and renovation projects as required

Responding promptly to urgent repairs to support guest comfort and satisfaction

Maintaining and securing Hamilton Island Enterprises tools and equipment

Keeping records of time and materials used for all workshop tasks

Ensuring vehicles used are clean, safe and roadworthy

Supporting other maintenance staff when needed

Attending team briefings and meetings to maintain strong communication

Undertaking other duties as directed by the Carpenter Supervisor

About You
You’re a qualified carpenter who takes pride in your workmanship and can work both independently and as part of a team. You’re reliable, professional, and ready to contribute to the ongoing success of our island community.

You will also have:

Certificate III in Carpentry (Essential)

White Construction Card

Driver’s Licence

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to work autonomously when required
