An exciting opportunity exists for an ICT Systems Engineer supporting our schools in the Northern Territory. The position is based at the Catholic Education Office, Berrimah.

Catholic Education has a network of 18 Catholic schools in the Northern Territory - five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre, and five remote schools.
The Position:
The ICT Systems Engineer is a key member of the IT team responsible for the review, design, implementation, and ongoing support of CENT's critical IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of general ICT infrastructure platform services, networking, server technologies, system administration and security. The successful candidate will be an experienced, highly motivated results-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
This position reports to the ICT Manager and works alongside the ICT Team.
Key Responsibilities:
● Contribute to CENT’s ICT strategic direction as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by articulating best practice solutions applicable to our diverse ICT environment,
● Scope, design, implement and manage scalable ICT solutions including Local and Wide Area Networking (LAN/WAN), End User Device Management, Security and supporting technologies.
● Implement and maintain strategies for high availability, security, risk mitigation for ICT platform and network infrastructure.
● Serve as a key technical and operational contact point for developing and communicating requirements with vendors, and internal and external business partners,
● Implement and maintain strategies for high availability, cyber security, risk mitigation and service quality monitoring of ICT platform and network infrastructure,

What We’re Looking For:
● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience delivering successful ICT solutions.
● Experience gathering requirements, designing, implementing, and delivering ICT solutions.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft and various cloud technologies to support general business operations.
