About the opportunity:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing plans and implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour changes. This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can work closely with clients, families, and other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. In this position, you will conduct assessments, provide direct support, and monitor progress, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of care. You will also be involved in training and educating families and staff on behaviour management techniques.

If you are not currently a Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner – we can support you with your application to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as part of your induction.

What you will bring to the role:

We are seeking a true person-centred individual, who brings a high level of professionalism and maturity to their work, you will have a demonstrated knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices along with proven experience in assessing and planning intervention for people who exhibit a range of behaviours of concern, especially high-risk behaviours. In addition, you will have:

  • A formal qualification, e.g. Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or Allied Health disciplines, and/or experience in delivering Positive Behaviour Support
  • An understanding of relevant policy and legislation relating to Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices at a National and State/Territory level, including the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Capability Framework
  • Experience delivering supports in a culturally sensitive manner as well as a willingness to work and train in culturally appropriate approaches
  • Sound IT skills and experience using Word, Excel and client management systems
  • Driver Licence, own car and a willingness to travel

About our amazing benefits:

This position is based at our Nowra Office and will require travel to our other areas of operation. This is a full-time position, offering a remuneration package inclusive of travel and phone allowance of $96,000 - $112,000 (to be negotiated based on experience and qualifications) plus superannuation.

Important to note:
