About the role
2include is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in South Sydney and South West Sydney, NSW. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centred, evidence-based support to individuals with complex needs, with the aim of enhancing their quality of life and promoting positive behaviour changes. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive environment, making a tangible difference in the lives of the people we serve.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive functional behavioural assessments to understand the factors influencing an individual's behaviour

Developing and implementing tailored behaviour support plans that align with the individual's goals and needs

Providing training and coaching to families, carers, and support staff to ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support strategies

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to deliver holistic care

Monitoring and reviewing behaviour support plans to ensure their effectiveness and make adjustments as needed

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Participating in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest evidence-based practices in the field

What we're looking for

A relevant tertiary qualification in teaching, social work, psychology, therapy, or a related field

Significant experience (minimum 2 years) in providing behaviour support services to individuals with complex needs, such as intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or mental health conditions

Demonstrated expertise in conducting functional behavioural assessments and developing comprehensive behaviour support plans

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing circumstances

A commitment to evidence-based practice and a desire to continuously learn and develop your skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise documentation

A valid driver's licence and the willingness to travel within the local area as required

Successful candidates will also be required to provide a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, Working With Children Check, full Australian Driver's Licence and proof of vehicle registration.
