The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. A new role awaits
The Chief Information Officer Division has an APS6 vacancy within the Agency ICT Services Branch.
The Agency ICT Services Branch supports all ICT systems and infrastructure excluding the primary business applications such as SAP CRM and Salesforce CRM.
Technology Asset Management is a brilliant team to work in. This team is responsible for ensuring that the Agency and its staff are adequately supported and provided with the Hardware, Software and Application Platforms they need to provide services to Scheme Participants and Partners. This includes Hardware Lifecycle Management and Support and Software / Application License allocation, forecasting and true-up's.

APS6 Technology Asset Team Leader – Technology Assessment Management
As the Technology Asset Team Leader your duties will include:
- Lead and mentor your team, ensuring high performance is provided and team members are mentored and developed while processes are operated effectively.
- Work strategically to identify continuous improvement initiatives in asset management practices to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Assisting with compliance activities related to license agreements, warranties, and asset-related contracts by maintaining accurate records of hardware and software assets within the agency’s asset management systems.
- Supporting audits by identifying and documenting discrepancies between systems and assisting in the remediation of issues related to hardware or software assets.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, such as procurement, finance, and technology teams, to support contract administration, maintain data accuracy, and assist in meeting asset requirements for internal customers.
- Provide regular reports on asset management operations and team performance, showing adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other relevant insights.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and represent the agency in discussions vendors and partners.

An ideal candidate will understand technology asset management principles & processes while being familiar with asset tracking systems & ITSM systems. Basic knowledge of software licensing & compliance is a must have & awareness of audit & stocktake processes in a government or corporate environment will be highly regarded.
The below skills are required as part of
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining asset records.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work within compliance frameworks.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address asset-related issues.
- Effective written communication skills for drafting documentation and communications.
- Ability to use asset management systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have the following experience
- Prior experience in asset management or a similar administrative role.
- Experience working with asset management, IT service management or similar systems.
- Familiarity with government or enterprise procurement and asset tracking processes.
It is essential that the successful candidate has a strong attention to detail & can follow established procedures & work within compliance frameworks.

While this role is ideally performed from Deakin - ACT remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
