An opportunity exists for an experienced and successful Farm Manager to take the reigns of a developing and exciting cattle property on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Our client is seeking Expressions of Interest from those who would relish such a role and posses the skills, aptitude, and experience to achieve Best Practice in all aspects of farm operation. The 4,000 acre property situated 70km from Port Macquarie, is nestled amongst native bush with predominantly native pastures and various creek flats sown to fodder crops.

Key responsibilities :

Managing all aspects of farm operations, including cattle husbandry and pasture development

Supervise and train staff and contractors, promoting a safe and positive work environment

Oversee the maintenance of equipment and facilities

Develop and implement effective farm management strategies to maximise production and ensure sustainability

Maintain accurate records of production, labour, and inventory

Collaborate with suppliers and manage purchases

It is essential that you have proven experience in a similar role having a strong understanding of innovative and regenerative agriculture practices and technologies, and are proficient in using farm management software. Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills are a must as is your ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Whilst working independently, you will also work closely with the farm owners in the development of procedures and planning of strategies to improve the quality of both cattle and pastures.
