Lead from the Centre - Territory Deployment Manager
We are currently seeking strong clinical leaders to join our team as Territory Deployment Manager, supporting real-time ambulance operations within our Emergency Communications Centre (ECC) in Darwin.
Based in the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre (JESCC) in Berrimah, you’ll work alongside our Emergency Communications Centre staff, the Frontline Leadership Group (FLG), and our emergency services partners at NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES), ensuring safe, timely, and clinically appropriate deployment of ambulance resources across the Territory.

What You’ll Bring
- A current Authority to Practice as a Qualified or Intensive Care Paramedic with at least 3 years’ on-road experience in a state or territory ambulance service
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Paramedic
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience, including team support, development and performance management
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively in high-pressure environments
- Sound clinical judgement and operational decision-making ability
- Excellent computer literacy and the ability to work across multiple digital platforms
- Experience in remote or regional health service delivery (desirable)
- AIIMS/MIMMS Commander qualification and/or Cert IV in Leadership (desirable)
- Ability to work a rotating 24/7 shift work roster (4 days, 4 nights, 4 off)
Summary
The Territory Deployment Manager (TDM) holds primary responsibility for ensuring the safe, efficient, and clinically sound deployment of frontline operational services. This role is pivotal in aligning service delivery with the organisation’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), strategic deployment frameworks, and escalation protocols. Working in close collaboration the Frontline Leadership Group (FLG), the TDM oversees the real-time allocation of operational resources to effectively meet service demand.
The TDM exercises clinical oversight in deployment decisions, applying sound clinical judgment to support safe, appropriate, and patient-centred care. They also serve as a key advocate for ambulance availability, ensuring timely and coordinated communication with internal and external stakeholders to support optimal patient outcomes.
