The opportunity

The Diverse Collective is seeking passionate Mental Health Support Workers to join our team in Moreton Bay, Brisbane, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and surrounds. As a casual Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and tailored support to our clients living with disability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care needs to promote independence and wellbeing
• Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with clients to help them achieve their recovery goals
• Facilitate and participate in group activities, programs and outings that promote social inclusion and community engagement
• Collaborate with the client's support network, including family members and healthcare professionals, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
• Actively participate in team meetings, supervision and training to continually improve service delivery

What we're looking for

• Certificate IV in Mental Health or similar qualification and experience (lived experience is okay!)
• NDIS worker clearance
• Demonstrated experience providing person-centred support to individuals living with mental health conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to respond effectively to complex situations
• Commitment to upholding the rights, dignity and autonomy of clients
• Flexibility to work a casual roster (availability on weekends, public holidays and some evenings is desirable)
• Current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation plus NDIS worker screening card
