About the Role:
You will oversee the operational and compliance management of fire protection maintenance works across commercial buildings, ensuring alignment with Occupancy Permit requirements, Australian Standards (AS1851), and the Building Code of Australia (BCA). This leadership position is ideal for someone with technical expertise, strong team management experience, and a drive to deliver service excellence in a growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, lead, and mentor a growing team of technicians and admin support staff.
Deliver and coordinate routine maintenance, reactive servicing and installation of dry fire systems (alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and exit/emergency lighting).
Ensure compliance with AS1851, BCA, and regulatory frameworks.
Work closely with a diverse range of clients across commercial, retail, and industrial sectors, ensuring tailored service and strong relationships.
Prepare and deliver quotations for corrective and remedial works based on service reports.
Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships.
Utilise and optimise service operations using Uptick software (experience highly advantageous).
Monitor division performance through KPIs, budgeting, and reporting.
Ensure all work is performed with a strong focus on safety, quality, and OHS/WHS compliance.
Support strategic growth and integration with our existing HVAC services.
About You
Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing a small team in fire services
Self-starter with a strong focus on growth, development, and continuous improvement
Sound technical knowledge of fire protection systems and their maintenance.
Deep understanding of Australian Standards (particularly AS1851), BCA, and compliance obligations.
Strong experience preparing quotes and scopes for service-related works.
Hands-on experience with service software (Uptick preferred).
Excellent organisational and leadership skills with a client-first approach.
Trade qualification or tertiary education in a relevant field (desirable).
Electrical license (desirable)
