About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Surface Re-finisher to join our team at Flinders Aviation in Redcliffe, Queensland. There has been a recent opening, and the company now requires an aircraft painter to join our amazing close knit team. Ideally the successful candidate will have prior experience as an aircraft or automotive re-finisher.

What you'll be doing

Stripping, cleaning and preparing the aircraft

Ordering consumables and paint products. Selecting and mixing paint shades to match aircraft colour.

Taping stripes and applying artwork. Masking areas of the aircraft not to be painted by covering with masking tape and paper.

Spray painting- reapplication of aircraft coating. Applying primer and finish coats with spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between coats.

Liaising with high profile GA companies such as RFDS, Hinterland, Aviair, Hardy Aviation and Airlink just to name a few.

What we're looking for

Possess a Cert III in Automotive Refinishing or Cert III Aircraft Surface Refinishing (preferred) or equivalent trade experience.

Great attention to detail

Positive outlook

If you are a capable, self-taught spray painter, we will also consider your application

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
