About the role

Kerdic Homes is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Darra, QLD, and operating for over 35 years, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute your carpentry skills to the construction of high-quality residential homes and townhouse and unit complexes. As a Carpenter, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our residential projects.

What you'll be doing

Reading and interpreting building plans and specifications to carry out necessary carpentry tasks

Performing framing, roofing, flooring, door and window installation, and other carpentry duties to industry standards

Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently, adhering to relevant building codes and regulations

Collaborating with the construction team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Carpentry

Strong practical carpentry skills and the ability to use hand and power tools proficiently

Working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Commitment to workplace health and safety
