Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
The National Disability and Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking candidates to fill an EL1 Marketing vacancy.
This role plays a pivotal role in supporting the NDIA through significant reform. The EL1 will lead some key projects for the NDIA to better educate the general community on the role of the NDIS and its impact and to ensure stakeholders are kept across the continuous improvements being made aligned to reform.
You need to have exceptional marketing strategy development and execution skills along with extensive experience in integrated marketing campaign implementation. You will also show initiative and be highly organised. Flexible working options will be available to the successful applicant.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Leading and championing the delivery of marketing strategies including messaging direction across various channels, ensuring cohesion and impact.
- Providing end-to-end management of integrated marketing campaigns including above the line (ATL).
- Understanding, implementing, and applying relevant policy and procedures, particularly in the context of government campaigns including ATL.
- Working with members of the division in identifying and collaborating on joint change, marketing, brand, advocacy and reputation growth objectives.
- Providing effective leadership for direct reports, including providing employees with the coaching, information, and guidance for achieving outcomes and ensuring compliance.

Where you can add value
Desirable skills, experience and qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, public relations, communications or related disciplines are preferred.
- Extensive experience (10 years +) in delivering integrated marketing campaigns including above the line, ideally in a government context.
- Experience managing complex procurement processes and contract adherence.
- Previous government, healthcare, insurance or not-for-profit experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

- Qualifications in marketing or a similar field.
- You will have a track record of successfully delivering high quality campaigns individually, and as part of a team. Ideally with above the line campaign experience in a government context.
- This role will suit a creative and collaborative person with strong communication skills who can work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, set priorities, take the initiative and find creative solutions to problems, often under limited supervision.

While this role is ideally performed from Geelong and Melbourne VIC, Deakin ACT, Surry Hills NSW, Darwin NT, Brisbane QLD, Adelaide SA, Hobart TAS, Perth WA, and other remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
