About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Truck Driver/Excavator Operator to join our dynamic team at Superior Skip Bins. This is a casual role based in Gympie, QLD, where you will be responsible for operating a range of heavy machinery and vehicles to support our skip bin and waste transfer station operation.

What you'll be doing

Operating various types of equipment such as skip bin trucks, dump trucks, forklifts, and excavators

Transporting skip bins to and from job sites

Transporting tip truck loads to dumps and recycling centres

Conducting pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment

Helping the shed sorters out if we're short handed or to get a break from the excavator

Collaborating with the team to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks

Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of Truck Driving experience - skip bin loading experience would be handy, but training is provided.

An Excavator Operator - preferrably with grab experience

Possession of a valid MR or HR driver's licence

Certified training and proficiency in operating an excavator and prerrably a forklift

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Commitment to safety and a demonstrated track record of safe work practices

Typical hours are 6:30am to 2:30pm, Mon to Fri with some overtime and Saturday work available.
