This leading brokerage is currently looking for a proactive and detailed-orientated Broking Assistant at their Gold Coast office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1–2 years’ experience in the general insurance industry who is keen to build a long-term career pathway towards becoming a broker OR for those with prior general assistant experience ready to take the next step.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Broking Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a team of brokers in delivering exceptional service to their clients.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Processing insurance documentation and applications using WinBeat and Sunrise system
Preparing and formatting quotation slips, new business submissions, and renewal documents
Managing and reviewing policy wordings, endorsements, and documentation for accuracy
Providing clients with updated Certificates of Currency as required
Assisting with claims lodgement and ongoing claims support
Supporting brokers with mid-term adjustments, debtors, and back-end administration
Maintaining accurate and compliant client files and internal records
Liaising with underwriters and insurers to support broking team
Keeping up to date with industry trends, insurer products, and regulatory changes
Handling phone management through our system, including routing and coordinating incoming client and insurer calls
Supporting compliance activities and staying informed on regulatory developments
THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU BRING:
At least 1 year of experience in an insurance support role or as a general assistant in a non-insurance setting
Tier 1 or 2 Qualification advantageous
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working on SCTP and insurance software (WinBeat/Sunrise) – preferable but not required
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A motivated, team-oriented attitude with a keen eye for detail
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A genuine interest in growing your career in the general insurance industry
Own transport to the Gold Coast Office in Helensvale
