About the role

We are seeking a motivated individual looking to become an Asphalt Plant Operator at Catwest, located here in Geraldton, Western Australia. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our manufacturing operations, where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient running of our asphalt plant.

What you'll be doing

Operate and maintain the asphalt plant to consistently produce high-quality asphalt mixes

Monitor production processes, troubleshoot any issues, and adjust as needed to optimise output

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plant equipment to ensure everything is functioning properly

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

Collaborate with the broader operational teams to ensure timely delivery of asphalt to project sites

Maintain detailed records of plant operations, production data, and maintenance activities

What we're looking for

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Relevant qualifications or familiarization in plant operation, mechanics, or a related field
